For The Win (FTW) Burgers will open its first Las Vegas location inside the newly rebranded Resort at Summerlin, introducing a smashburger concept that has gained recognition in Los Angeles for its focused menu and consistent execution.
Founded in 2020 by chef Santos Uy, the brand emerged from the transformation of a Michelin-recognized French restaurant into a streamlined burger operation, a shift that resulted in a concept defined by simplicity and repeat appeal.
A True LA Favorite, Now in Vegas
The opening aligns with a broader transition at the property formerly known as Rampart Casino and JW Marriott.
Now operating as The Resort at Summerlin, the venue has undergone a substantial renovation and repositioning, with an increased emphasis on dining and local foot traffic. Central to that update is the introduction of the Neighborhood Food Hall, a collection of fast-casual concepts selected for their established followings and clear identities.
Rather than functioning as a traditional casino food court, the space reflects a more deliberate approach, prioritizing recognizable brands and consistent offerings.
For The Win enters as one of the defining additions to that lineup.
From Michelin Roots to a Cult Burger Concept
Before it became For The Win, this was something entirely different.
The kitchen was home to Papilles Bistro, a Michelin Bib Gourmand French restaurant in Hollywood. In 2020, when COVID shut down dining rooms across Los Angeles, that model no longer worked.
The team made a clean shift.
They moved away from French cuisine and rebuilt the concept around a focused burger menu designed for speed, consistency, and takeout.
With that change, everything came down to execution, how the patties were smashed, how the sear developed, and how each burger was built to come out the same way every time.
That precision shows up in the flavor.
The edges of the patty crisp up against the griddle, the onions cook directly into the meat, and everything comes together in a way that feels balanced from the first bite to the last.
That approach carried forward as the brand expanded across Los Angeles.
The Menu, Structured and Dialed In

The Menu is built with intention. It stays focused, and that focus shows up in how everything tastes.
Burgers
- Hamburger / Cheeseburger
- Patty Melt
- Grilled Cheese
- Veggie Burger
The foundation is the smashburger.
Each patty is pressed thin directly onto the griddle, creating a hard sear that gives the edges their crisp texture while keeping the center juicy. The onions are smashed into the beef as it cooks, softening and caramelizing into the meat rather than sitting on top.
The hamburger and cheeseburger are the core order, simple, balanced, and built to be eaten without overthinking it. The cheese melts into the patty, adding richness without overpowering it.
The patty melt shifts the format slightly, layered with melted cheese and grilled onions between toasted bread, giving it a deeper, more savory feel with a crisp exterior.
The grilled cheese stays minimal, melted cheese throughout on toasted bread, clean and straightforward.
The veggie burger is built as a plant-based patty option, designed to mirror the same structure as the rest of the menu, with the same toppings and balance, so it feels like part of the lineup, not an afterthought.
Across all of them, the build stays consistent, pickles for contrast, house fry sauce for balance, and a toasted Martin’s potato bun that holds everything together from start to finish.
Sides
- Thin-Cut Fries
- Sweet Potato Fries
- Loaded Fries
- Balsamic Brussels Sprouts
The sides follow the same approach, simple, but done properly.
The thin-cut fries are crisp and light, easy to keep reaching for. The sweet potato fries bring a softer interior with a slight sweetness that balances the salt.
The loaded fries are more substantial, topped with grilled onions, melted American cheese, and house fry sauce, turning them into something closer to a second order.
The Brussels sprouts are fried in beef tallow, giving them a crisp exterior, then finished with balsamic and lemon for contrast, adding a sharper, brighter note to the table.
Opening Inside the Neighborhood Food Hall

The Summerlin location is set to open on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM, inside the Neighborhood Food Hall at the Resort at Summerlin.
To mark the opening, the first 500 guests in line will receive a free smashburger, a straightforward launch that matches the brand’s style.
FTW opens alongside Los Angeles-based concept Tacos 1986, reinforcing the direction of the space, bringing in established names with clear identities rather than building from scratch.
The result is a food hall that feels active, but still easy to move through, with concepts that already know exactly what they are.
A New Addition in Summerlin
With its opening in Summerlin, For The Win brings one of Los Angeles’ most talked-about smashburger concepts directly into the local mix.
At this point, the concept is established. The format is clear. The only thing left is the experience.
If you’re in the area, stop by and try it for yourself. It’s one of the more talked-about burgers out of LA, now right here in Summerlin.
