Monica’s apartment. The orange couch. The fountain from the opening credits. Ross and Rachel’s Vegas wedding. The iconic purple door. Replica props, original costumes, behind-the-scenes content, and Vegas-exclusive experiences built specifically for this location. The FRIENDS Experience: The One in Vegas is now open at MGM Grand and it is exactly what it sounds like.
The Show Set Two Episodes Here. Now You Can Step Inside Them.
The FRIENDS Experience: The One in Vegas opened at MGM Grand in July 2025, inside The District at MGM Grand adjacent to the Grand Garden Arena at 3799 S Las Vegas Blvd. It is the permanent flagship of the FRIENDS Experience, voted one of USA Today’s 10 Best New Attractions and featured in CNN’s 12 Best Immersive Experiences around the world. Las Vegas was a deliberate choice for the flagship, the city holds a specific place in the FRIENDS universe as the setting for some of the show’s most memorable episodes, including “The One in Vegas” two-part season five finale where the characters make some of their most chaotic decisions.
“More than 30 years ago, we created a show about that unique time in every twenty-something’s life when your friends become your family,” said co-creator Kevin S. Bright at the opening. “We never could have imagined the global impact ‘Friends’ would have after all these years and, while New York was home, Las Vegas holds a special place. It’s where the cast first bonded and where the characters made some unforgettable choices. Those episodes captured the spirit, spontaneity and heart of the show.”
What You Walk Through Inside
The experience runs approximately 60 minutes from start to finish and moves through a series of fully realized set recreations, each designed to be interactive and photographable. Every major location from the show is represented, built to the scale and detail of the original sets with original props, replica costumes, and behind-the-scenes content woven throughout. The Las Vegas location adds exclusive experiences built specifically for this flagship that are not available at any other FRIENDS Experience location.
Set Recreations Include:
- Monica’s Apartment: the full living room and kitchen set, with the iconic purple door, the yellow frame around the peephole, and the couch positioned exactly as it appeared on screen for 10 seasons
- Central Perk: the coffeehouse where every conversation happened, with the orange couch, the counter, and the full cafe environment rebuilt for photos and interaction
- The Fountain: the fountain from the opening credits of every episode, recreated for the full opening sequence photo moment
- Ross and Rachel’s Vegas Wedding: a recreation of the chapel scene from the season five finale, the most Vegas-specific set in the entire experience
- Behind-the-Scenes Content: interviews, production photos, script pages, and exclusive content from the making of the show displayed throughout the experience
