No membership. No monthly fee. Just a full outdoor gym waiting at your neighborhood park. The Las Vegas City Council just approved eight new fitness courts across the city, expanding a free outdoor workout network that already spans more than two dozen parks and trailheads valley-wide.
Eight New Parks, Zero Cost to Use Them
On Wednesday, the Las Vegas City Council approved a contract to install eight new fitness courts through the National Fitness Campaign in parks and recreation centers across the city. The project is part of the city’s broader National Fitness Campaign Model City Program, which city officials say is designed to broaden outdoor recreation access and encourage healthier, more active lifestyles across every corner of the valley, not just the Strip corridor.
The new courts are slated for eight locations:
- Centennial Hills Park
- Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs
- Lorenzi Park
- Patriot Park
- Justice Myron E. Leavitt and Jaycee Community Park
- Stewart Place Park
- Hualapai Canyon Trailhead
- Bob Baskin Park
Each location will receive an outdoor fitness court, the same open-air, multi-station equipment format the city has already installed at more than two dozen parks across Las Vegas, including Bruce Trent Park, All American Park, and Rainbow Family Park. The equipment typically includes stations for strength training, cardio, and bodyweight exercises, all free and open to the public during standard park hours.

Free outdoor fitness infrastructure is a genuinely different kind of wellness investment than the boutique studios, medspas, and recovery centers that have defined much of the valley’s recent wellness boom. These courts remove cost as a barrier entirely, putting real strength and cardio equipment within walking distance of neighborhoods across Centennial Hills, the west side, downtown-adjacent Lorenzi Park, and beyond. For residents who want to build a fitness routine without a membership fee, or visitors staying nearby who want a free morning workout outdoors, this expansion adds real, usable infrastructure to the city’s public recreation network.
