AREA15 Just Got a Lot Bigger
Zone 2: The Terminals is the latest expansion of AREA15, the experiential art and entertainment district parallel to the Las Vegas Strip. What began in 2020 as a single 200,000-square-foot venue has grown into a 40-acre campus, and Zone 2 represents its biggest single leap yet, adding a wave of new immersive attractions, retail, and food and beverage concepts to a district that has already welcomed more than 15 million visitors since opening. “AREA15 is designed to surprise people every time they walk through the door,” said Winston Fisher, CEO of AREA15. “With a brand-new mix of new restaurants, retail flagships and breakthrough attractions now signed, we’re continuing to create an entertainment district appealing to families, food lovers, thrill-seekers and culture explorers alike.”
What Is Actually Open Right Now
Zone 2 is live, and several of its headline attractions are already welcoming guests. Universal Horror Unleashed, Universal Destinations and Experiences’ first-ever year-round horror experience, anchors the zone with haunted houses and immersive, actor-driven entertainment built by the same team behind Halloween Horror Nights. Interstellar Arc by Felix and Paul Studios delivers an epic mixed-reality space adventure using cutting-edge immersive technology. For guests who want something more puzzle-driven, an immersive escape room experience lets visitors decode ciphers and race the clock to uncover hidden rooms, and a lineup of classic carnival games with a modern twist gives groups something to compete over.
Beyond Zone 2 itself, AREA15’s broader roster has also welcomed a run of new openings across the district this year, including The Escape Game, a Malibu Barbie Café pop-up, and The Great Big Game Show, a live, game-show-style attraction. These join AREA15 staples like Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, Illuminarium, Dueling Axes, Five Iron Golf, and the JOHN WICK EXPERIENCE, giving the district one of the densest concentrations of immersive entertainment anywhere in Las Vegas.
What’s Coming Next
AREA15 has confirmed more than a dozen new experiences slated to open across 2026, and several of the most ambitious are headed for Zone 2 specifically. A reimagined, suspended Boeing 747 is being transformed into a multi-use event venue. iFLY Indoor Skydiving is scheduled to bring its signature vertical wind tunnels, flight progression programs, and STEM education events, though its opening has shifted to the first quarter of 2027.
One of the most anticipated additions of the entire rollout has already arrived: the largest-ever Museum of Ice Cream opened this July with the world’s first ice cream buffet, a sprinkle pool, and ice cream-themed hotel suites, and it has quickly become one of the district’s biggest draws.
On the retail and dining side, MINISO, a global lifestyle retailer with more than 150 licensed IP partnerships including Disney, Marvel, Sanrio, and Harry Potter, is confirmed to open, alongside House Rules, a high-energy competitive socializing venue with a full bar and interactive games including ice curling, duckpin bowling, carrom, and sapo. The Bowl, a new dining concept featuring state-of-the-art robot chefs cooking in front of guests, and Dolls Kill are also part of the confirmed 2026 lineup for The Terminals.
