550 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. 28 air-conditioned glass cabins. A 30-minute full rotation with audio narration calling out every landmark as it comes into view. A Happy Half Hour option that turns your cabin into an open bar at 550 feet. And a view of the Strip at night that no helicopter, rooftop, or observation deck in the city can match. Here is everything you need to know before you go.
The Strip Looks Different From Up Here
The High Roller at The LINQ Promenade opened in March 2014 and remains the tallest observation wheel in North America and the second tallest in the world, surpassed only by the Ain Dubai at 689 feet, which has been closed since 2022,. At 550 feet with a 520-foot diameter, 28 Italian-handcrafted glass-enclosed cabins, and a center-Strip location between Harrah’s and The LINQ Hotel, it is one of the most accessible and genuinely impressive elevated views available in Las Vegas. The full rotation takes 30 minutes. An audio narration runs throughout, timed precisely to point out landmarks as they rotate into view: the Bellagio fountains, the Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas, the Luxor pyramid beam, the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, the desert valley, and the mountain ranges that surround the city on every side.
Most people who have ridden the High Roller did it during the day and thought the view was nice. Most people who ride it at night come off the cabin talking about it differently. The Strip illuminated at full power from 550 feet, with the Sphere glowing to the northeast and the Bellagio fountains running below, is a version of Las Vegas that no ground-level experience replicates. The recommendation is always the same: book the anytime ticket, arrive 30 minutes before sunset, board during golden hour, and be in the air when the Strip lights fully come on. That 30-minute window from dusk to full neon is the best view in the city.

The Happy Half Hour: Thirty Minutes, Open Bar, 550 Feet Up
The Happy Half Hour is the version of the High Roller that most people do not know exists until someone who has done it tells them about it. The format is straightforward: you board a smaller cabin that holds up to 10 guests, a dedicated bartender is already inside waiting for you, and for the full 30-minute rotation you have unlimited cocktails, beer, and wine. The cabin is private to your group or shared with other Happy Half Hour ticket holders if your party is smaller. The bartender pours for the entire rotation and the bar closes when the cabin completes its revolution and the doors open.
At $67 per person, the Happy Half Hour costs $27 more than the standard anytime ticket. A single cocktail on the Las Vegas Strip typically runs $15 to $20. Anyone planning to have two or more drinks during the ride gets full value from the upgrade. The Happy Half Hour is available at any time during operating hours, day or night, but the night version is what most guests describe as one of the best experiences they had in Las Vegas. There is no bathroom on board. Tip your bartender. Outside drinks are permitted on standard cabins in non-glass containers. Coolers and cases are not allowed.
Yoga, Chocolate, Weddings and a Private Bar at 550 Feet
Beyond the standard ride and Happy Half Hour, the High Roller runs a rotating calendar of special experiences that most visitors never discover. Yoga in the Sky runs select mornings with a one-hour professional-led yoga class inside a cabin at 550 feet for approximately $75 per person. The Chocolate Experience runs select Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8pm with handcrafted chocolate samples from Ethel M Chocolates paired with wine. Private cabin rentals are available for groups of up to 10 with a Bluetooth speaker for custom music. The VIP Cabin Experience for groups includes a private cabin and full control over the audio for the rotation. Weddings and proposals can be arranged with photography, cinematography, flowers, and an Elvis minister. Wedding packages start above $1,300. Corporate event spaces include the Pre-Roll Room at 2,500 square feet and the Wheelhouse for meetings or dinners before or after your ride. Inquire at highrollersales@caesars.com for group and event bookings.
