Free live music every Saturday night. A sunset cruise on an electric boat, or a private charter on the lake’s only luxury yacht. Waterfront restaurants, a grocery market, and a dragon boat race lighting up the water next month. As the desert cools down, Henderson’s Lake Las Vegas is where locals and visitors alike are trading the Strip’s neon for string lights over the water.
The Village Is Where Everyone Ends Up
The Village at Lake Las Vegas anchors the community, a walkable stretch of waterfront restaurants, shops, and a Seasons Grocery & Deli, all set against an Italian-inspired backdrop with the lake on one side. Every Saturday night, from 7pm to 10pm, The Village hosts free live concerts, with a house rule worth knowing before you go: no outside food or beverages, so plan to eat at one of the on-site restaurants and support the local businesses that make the free entertainment possible.
Get on the Water Before It Gets Too Cold
Lake Las Vegas Water Sports runs sunset cruises on electric boats every Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 7pm, and reservations are required in advance. For a bigger night out, La Contessa, the lake’s only 84-foot luxury yacht, is available for private charters, from birthdays to full events with a band or DJ. Beyond the boats, the lake stays active with kayaking, paddleboarding, and eFoils, all bookable through the same water sports operator, and there are no parking fees anywhere on property.
A New Tradition Hits the Water Next Month
On October 17, the Lake Las Vegas Dragon Boat Festival returns from 8am to 5pm, organized by the Mad Dragon Foundation alongside the Lake Las Vegas Master Association and the Paddle Vegas Dragon Boat Club. Team registration has already sold out, but the festival is built as a spectator event too, with community, corporate, club, and youth teams racing 200 to 2,000-meter courses across the lake. “We are excited to unite the community for a day of sport, culture, and fun,” said Mad Dragon Executive Director Bobbie McCue.
