Nine Years Running and Still the Most Interesting Thing You Can Do at Wynn
Connoisseur by Wynn launched in 2017 as the Wynn Master Class Series, a program designed around a simple idea: the chefs, mixologists, bakers, horticulturalists, and sommeliers working inside Wynn Las Vegas are among the most accomplished practitioners in their fields in the country. Why should that expertise stay behind the kitchen door? Nine years later, the series has expanded to include celebrity chef appearances, off-site destination classes, wine dinners with elite wineries including Harlan Estate, Opus One, Gaja, and Screaming Eagle, and an upcoming partnership with Netflix’s Chef’s Table launching in September 2026. The format has remained consistent: intimate groups of 10 to 20 people, hands-on participation, behind-the-scenes access to spaces normally closed to guests, and a casual meal to close every session.
“Our Connoisseur series is all about giving our guests a peek behind the scenes and a chance to roll up their sleeves alongside the resort’s talented team of experts,” said Brian Gullbrants, Chief Operating Officer of Wynn Resorts North America. “These classes offer something for everyone — combining a touch of exclusivity with the excitement of learning something new in an elevated environment.”
Every class is priced per person, requires advance reservations, and sells out regularly. Several sessions sell out before they are publicly announced. The upcoming Thai culinary tour with Chef Jet Tila on May 16 is already listed as sold out. The Danish pastry class on May 7 still has availability. Book early.

What Makes This Different From a Standard Cooking Class
The format of Connoisseur by Wynn is genuinely different from a recreational cooking class. These are not courses designed to teach you to cook from scratch. They are intimate behind-the-scenes experiences led by working professionals at the top of their fields, in the actual spaces where they do their work every day. The Mastering the Art of Bread class takes place inside the Wynn Bread Shop where Master Baker Johann Willar produces all of the resort’s bread daily. The Decorate Cakes Like a Pro class takes place inside the Wynn Cake Studio. The Peking Duck class is led by Executive Chef Ming Yu inside the kitchen at Wing Lei, one of the most acclaimed Chinese fine dining restaurants in the country. The K9 class is led by Wynn’s own security team inside Intrigue.
Group sizes are capped at 10 to 20 people depending on the class. Most sessions include a casual meal at the end. The atmosphere is relaxed and the format is more conversation and demonstration than formal instruction. Previous participants consistently describe it as one of the most memorable experiences of their Las Vegas visit — not because it is the most glamorous, but because it is the most personal. You are in a small group, in a space most guests never see, learning something specific from someone who is genuinely expert in it.
